Shared outdoor space is Instead of designing each apartment with a separate small balcony, an "outdoor" community is created  of a student complex. All 364 balconies are combined into one large, shared outdoor space. The master plan allowed for a communal garden on the ground floor to the north, away from traffic, but it was too dark and too cramped.
