Lighthouse is now fully under construction; the highest residential tower in Eindhoven so far, which will be realized opposite the Strijp-S train station. Rockfield Real Estate acquired Lighthouse earlier this year for one of its investors and celebrated the moment that the tower goes up in the air with all parties involved.
Tower crane
Stam + De Koning Bouw now has a large tower crane on the construction site and in recent months they have been busy completing the basement of Lighthouse. This tower crane will become higher over time during construction. A part of the ground floor can already be seen from above from the tower crane, with the first contours of the outer facades already visible. The side wall with horizontal serrations is also clearly visible. This will later become one of the defining elements. The ground floor will be further prepared so that the residential tower can now go up into the air on its way to a height of 109 meters. This moment was festively celebrated with the parties involved.
Sustainable construction
Lighthouse will be constructed from floors and walls that are poured with concrete on site. The exterior of the building will be completely bricked up to the 34th floor, which contributes to a robust appearance. Because masonry is a high-quality product that stands the test of time, it is one of the components that will make Lighthouse a future-proof and sustainable building.
Pleasant living climate
The houses will have windows with solar control glass and floor cooling. This ensures a pleasant living climate, which is becoming increasingly important due to the current climate change. These measures contribute to the sustainability standards of the EU taxonomy and CO2 reduction, and low energy consumption. Commercial spaces and facilities will be realized in the lower layers of the residential tower. Both aimed at the residents and the environment.

Lighthouse will be a 109-meter high residential tower in Strijp-S with 333 rental homes and approximately 1,000 m2 of commercial space. The development, realization and sale of Lighthouse on Strijp S is a long-term collaboration between Rockfield Real Estate, Spoorzone BV and Stam + De Koning Bouw BV, from Eindhoven. Sustainability has been part of the design of the building from the start and it meets the highest standards. The construction of the highest residential tower in Eindhoven is expected to take approximately 2.5 years.
